of Acid Attacks
Overview
Navdrushti’s programme focuses on preventing acid attacks and ensuring holistic rehabilitation for survivors. In partnership with Brave Soul Foundation and with CSR support from Dorf Ketal Chemicals India Ltd., the initiative operates primarily in Delhi and West Bengal. It provides reconstructive surgeries, health and safety interventions, awareness activities, and legal support including assistance with criminal trials and compensation claims.
Challenge
The challenge is to ensure that acid attack survivors receive timely reconstructive surgeries and essential medical interventions to support their recovery. Another key challenge lies in helping survivors navigate complex legal processes, including criminal trials and securing compensation through various state and central schemes. There is a continuous need to expand awareness about acid attacks, which we address through campaigns, field activities, and community engagement.
Objectives
Prevent acid attacks through awareness programs and outreach.
Facilitate health and safety interventions, especially reconstructive surgeries.
Provide legal assistance and help survivors secure compensation through state and central schemes.
Strengthen rehabilitation support to survivors.

Awareness initiatives are carried out across Delhi and West Bengal through programs, field activities, and strong social media engagement aimed at preventing acid attacks.

The initiative facilitates reconstructive surgeries for survivors and provides comprehensive legal support, including guidance through criminal trials and assistance in securing compensation.
