These values help children make responsible and sustainable decisions to protect the Earth.

Objectives

To introduce environmental education at the school level so that children develop awareness and understanding of nature from an early age, preparing them to take responsibility for the planet’s future.

To teach students the importance of using natural resources wisely, helping them build habits that support sustainability, reduce wastage, and encourage mindful consumption throughout their lives.

To equip children with the knowledge and mindset needed to actively participate in climate action, ensuring they understand the impact of their choices and feel empowered to contribute positively to environmental protection.

To foster a long-term ecological attitude among young learners, enabling them to integrate environmental care into their daily routines rather than viewing it as a school subject, ultimately shaping them into responsible stewards of the environment.

Implementation

School-Based Awareness Sessions:

Environmental awareness sessions were conducted in multiple schools across Maharashtra.
The project received CSR support from Dorf Ketal Chemicals India Ltd.
Navdrushti provided technical support and played an advisory role.
Experts from Earthian Art Foundation and OikoEssence Edutours led the sessions.
Sessions were designed to be engaging and practical for students.
Key topics included environmental conservation and the 4Rs—Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Concepts were explained using simple language and real-life examples.

Interactive Learning Activities:

Students took part in hands-on learning exercises.
Activities included identifying harmful habits and recognizing eco-friendly practices.
Students matched everyday items with their decomposition time.
Personalized pledge-writing activities encouraged commitment to positive environmental behaviour.
These activities helped connect learning with daily actions.
